Závěť a jiné balady

A selection from the works of the mid-15th century French poet known for his unrestrained and unconventional life. His poems are grouped under several thematic headings - he writes witty references, reflections on dying, poems against slanderers, and at other times he depicts the transience of love, beauty and glory. Often in his verse he ostentatiously displays his physical and mental misery. The arrangement of this collection attempts at least an approximate chronology according to the available facts of the poet's life.
