We are here to bring you not only book treasures, but the whole experience of literature, art and cultural heritage.

At the Franz Kafka Bookstore we offer you selected titles directly from small publishers. Thanks to them, you will discover literary and artistic gems. You will find not only a wide range of Jewish literature, but also Czech and international prose, literature for children and young people, social sciences and art. In addition to books, we also offer original prints, drawings, photographs and prints by Czech photographers and artists. Our bookstore is also a centre of cultural events. We regularly organize meetings with authors, talks, literary evenings and workshops.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Japanese evening. Kwaidan, Confessions of a Yakuza Boss and Hikobae. Thank you to Mr. Hrushkova for the beautifully read passages from Confessions of a Yakuza Boss. The students Sutnarka and Jean-Gaspard Páleníček, who are the authors of Hikobae and discussed the book with us. Ms. Kraméri and Mr. Korinek for their helpful input. We look forward to another successful event!

We would like to thank all the authors of the book, the actors and the guests of the evening very much for their participation at the book launch of There is Another World Somewhere. The event took place as the first event in the hall of the Fraz Kafka Society (Široká 14), which we are putting back into operation. It was lovely, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to the programmes. The editors Lucie Kořínková, Pavel Kořínek and Michal Jareš spoke, Anička Duchaňová recited her poems. Eva Sakuma, the author of the illustrations in the book, whose originals were exhibited during the launch, was also present. The musical accompaniment was provided by Kenja Sato, shamisen player.
