A surprising, little-known testimonial prose by a Czech author who has lived in Israel since 1948. The story of Auschwitz, written in 1946, is comparable to the books of Elie Wiesel in its power of testimony. The introduction is by Viktor Fischl, the afterword by Josef Hiršal.
