Ludvík Kundera wrote a "memoir", not "from childhood to old age", but according to his beloved principle of Chance. He spoke of his process as a riverbed, a riverbed of memory. The result was "Various Riverbeds. Portraits, letters, interviews, fragments / 1936-2004". They are portraits of people the author met and who were close to him, peculiar fétières, for example about collecting books, about New Year's resolutions and the sauna passion, records of stories, interviews... On the pages of Různých řečiště the reader will meet, for example, Hans Arp, Ivan Blatný, Bertolt Brecht, František Halas, Josef Istler, Jiří Kolář, Bohdan Lacina, Oldřich Mikulášek, Vítězslav Nezval, Jan Skácel, Miloš Štědron, etc.
