Přátelské tváře matematiky
The texts collected in this book represent the author's philosophical work, which draws inspiration from phenomenological philosophy (especially that of Patočka, Lévinas and Barbaras) and Plato's dialogues. They touch on key issues in the philosophy of mathematics, especially its foundations, in the light of phenomenological investigations of existence, perception and understanding. The book thus offers an original rethinking of the areas where mathematics and philosophy meet or overlap, emphasizing the themes of the corporeality of thought, the experience of transcendence, shape and face, freedom, responsibility, and trust.
