Although Andersen (1805-1875) published his first fairy tale texts nearly two hundred years ago, their popularity among readers, both children and adults, has not waned. The famous Danish storyteller created stories that many generations of lovers of beautiful books have grown up on and that have been etched in the collective memory forever. Our edition, based on Gustav Pallas's translation, contains twenty-five fairy tales, including some of the best known, such as The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Snow Queen, The Brave Tin Soldier, The Ugly Duckling and The Princess on the Pea.
