The book The Poster is a large sheet of paper, which is a loose continuation of the successful monograph It Must Be Read in the Dark, is the middle part of the intended trilogy summarizing Karel Haloun's work over the last fifty years. This time we present another extensive part of his work, which consists of the now almost disappearing promotional medium - posters. The publication includes works created by Karel Haloun himself or in collaboration with graphic artist Luďek Kubík and other co-authors between 1976 and 2024. Some of his posters, printed mainly in the 1980s in small editions by screen printing, are now valuable collectors' items. For example, the poster for the first domestic concert of the Rolling Stones in 1990 at Strahov or the concert posters for the bands Jasná páka and Hudba Praha from 1981 and 1984, respectively, and many others.
