Odnes můj žal

The Russian freelance journalist and war reporter captures the lives of people affected by the war in Ukraine in a series of extremely compelling reports. She began work on her book just after 24 February 2022 and the last recorded events take place in February 2023. Through interviews, formally simple but humanly powerful, she puts the reader literally in the middle of the action, or more precisely, the experience of those directly affected by the war. He takes us through different places and environments and gives us a glimpse into the thinking and feeling of different human characters. The twenty-four episodes, the number of which she has symbolically chosen according to the fateful February date of the Russian invasion, begin on the Russian-Estonian border and arc back there, but in the meantime she takes the reader through a series of places and refugee destinies - from Berlin to Wroclaw and Brno to Moscow.
