Nebe - peklo - já
František Dryje's tenth collection of poetry presents a different poetic position in the whole of his work: alongside the texts of the first part, traditionally employing aggressive and critical poetic imagery alongside intimate lyrical evocations, the more extensive second section contains expressively spare, thematically sharpened imaginative portraits of unique things or reflections on associated memory traces and material constellations. The specific variants of the poetic grasp of the everyday thus merge the practices of surrealist creative interpretation and imaginative civilism. This poetic line is then smoothly developed in the third part into the form of an intimate lyrical elegy.
