The work of Robert Walser (1878-1956), a Swiss writer almost unknown in the 1990s, considered one of the most important authors of 20th-century German literature, is now - after several novels and collections of short prose - presented to the Czech reader in the unusual form of so-called micrograms, which Walser made with a two-millimetre pencil and which were initially considered indecipherable. After the deciphering of all 526 texts found, written on various scraps of paper, which took place at the end of the 20th century, a total of six volumes of micrograms were published, of which this selection is the first approach to the unusual form of writing to which Walser submitted himself more or less for therapeutic reasons. The present selection, accompanied by 33 facsimiles of particularly expressive and impressive micrograms, is a cross-section of transcribed and translated texts of a feyetonistic nature, several poems, moods, observations and reflections from 1925-1933
