Kafkův úprk před ženami (42.000,-Kč)
Josef Blecha (*1952) graduated from the University of Economics in Prague. He began drawing in 1976, and his cartoons have been published in The New York Times, The New York Times Review, The New Yorker and Playboy. He has organized more than 100 solo exhibitions. In his work, he tries to penetrate the mind of the sitter, which allows him to portray them believably and to emphasize their specific features. What makes him stand out among his contemporaries is the clean line he incorporates into his collages, creating a unique work of art. The artistic value of his work and the popularity of his work with the public are comparable to famous Czech cartoonists such as František Bidlo, Antonín Pelc and Adolf Hoffmeister. Blech's collections are held in private collections in Europe, America and Canada.
