Taking things, events and people and giving them a completely different dimension is characteristic of Kafka's writing style. Humour, love and death, the desire to be a bridge, a monkey or a dead man, all this can be found in a collection of not only well-known but also lesser-known short stories and other texts selected from Kafka's work. The book, illustrated by Jiří Slíva, is loosely based on the title Leopards in the Temple, which was compiled by Josef Čermák from Kafka's ideas. The new Kafka committee also has the same aim, to bring Kafka even closer to contemporary readers.
