Experimentální poezie

Reprint of the famous anthology of world concrete and experimental poetry, originally published in a single edition in 1967 and for a long time practically unavailable. Its editors, Josef Hiršal and Bohumila Grögerová, have concentrated in it samples from the work of more than a hundred authors from twenty countries around the world and wrote in the preface that it is difficult to predict which of the many directions, efforts and methods will be the starting point for the further development of poetic experiment. Some authors have turned away from it, while others have developed previously adopted methods or come up with new ones, using them to further explore the qualities and functions of language, its manipulability and exploitability. Art-oriented authors also worked with the visual aspect of the text and with typographic elements, which sometimes led them to figurative minimalism. In doing so, they often focused on the freedom of linguistic and pictorial play, humour, irony and the principle of chance.
