Duše a zlo v dialogu Faidón
The book Soul and Evil in the Phaedo Dialogue focuses on the threat to our lives from the ontological and ethical blindness to which the human soul is seduced by its partial nature and its connection to the individual body. This blindness can be overcome by "escaping to speech" as a transparent image of what is, and by nurturing the reciprocity of souls that is based on such an "escape." The book is part of a broader project, Soul and Speech, whose second volume, Soul and Beauty in the Phaedrus Dialogue, focuses instead on the parallel between speech and the body, showing both the chances and the risks of human reciprocity. Both a beautiful body and beautiful speech are capable of evoking love in the soul, thus overcoming its blindness, but they can also deepen it. It is in this ambivalence that speech and the body represent the space in which human life, conceived as the multifaceted movement of embodied souls who contribute to the formation of the cosmos through their not unproblematic work, is realized.
