This extensive collection of correspondence by the poet, philosopher and Indologist René Daumal, described by a French editor as one of the finest in the 20th century, covers the period 1932-1944, after the disintegration of the literary group High Game until the author's untimely death. Among the addressees of the letters are Maurice Henry, Rolland de Renéville, Jean Paulhan, Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes, Luc Dietrich, Jeanne de Salzmann, Léon Pierre-Quint and many others. The book is accompanied by a translation of R. Daumal's manuscript records recently discovered in the library of Jacques Doucet in Paris.
