Co je to řeka?

A beautifully illustrated book about rivers and their rich connection to us. A granddaughter and her grandmother take an imaginary journey to discover the mysteries of rivers, meeting pilgrims and conquerors, magical river dolphins or sturgeons older than dinosaurs, fishing, swimming and exploring many other things. The river is like a thread, creating beautiful patterns on the earth's surface, animating the landscape and our consciousness and above all - telling stories. It brings together different places, times and people.

The book draws on geographical, historical and mythological references as well as personal observations and combines factual and poetic narrative. Rivers constantly reminds us that everything in life has two shores, and whichever one we are on, we can be good neighbours.
