Co je českého na umění v Čechách?

The book contains selected texts on the history of architecture and the historiography of art history, only some of which have been published in Czech. Their common denominator is the ambition to overcome the nationalist model of historical narrative and to cultivate a transnational history in contrast to it. As the book's ironic title suggests, this approach can be particularly productive in Central Europe, which has always been the domain of multicultural realities and artistic circulations. The central theme is the migration of artists or art historians and the circulation of ideas or visual forms. In several studies the author attempts a comparative art historical approach, in others he crosses traditional regional boundaries and raises Central European themes
