Circus politicus

In their book Circus politicus, Christophe Deloire and Christophe Dubois present an extensive investigation into the reality of the mechanisms of French and European power, giving us an extraordinary tool for understanding. The authors have been everywhere where people "up there" live, socialize, corrupt and make decisions. They take us far beyond the façade of merely national politics, far beyond the circus of press conferences: in their book we find Sarkozy as a ridiculous fanfare, Angela Merkel with her sincere conviction that balancing the budget is part of human rights, and Belgians, Dutch, Luxembourgers and Italians who do not make any particular impression personally, but who are nevertheless very well connected to American post-war power networks.
