Bez slávy a fanfár aneb převážně knižní úpravce Milan Kopřiva
Milan Kopřiva (1929-1997) was undoubtedly one of our best book editors, but a publication devoted to this archaizing innovator has been missing until now. The book Without Glory and Fanfare attempts to fill this void, both through an essayistic introduction by Karel Haloun, who reflects on what Kopřiva was actually up to in the field of book editing, and through a more extensive commentary by Jaroslav Tvrdon (the volume's editor) on selected Kopřiva editions and some individual publications. The appendices contain shorter texts by Kopřiva's contemporaries (Karel Fabel, Bohuslav Holý, Petr Hora-Hořejš) devoted to his personality and work, as well as selected texts by Milan Kopřiva himself, which relate to his craft and also represent his journalistic period after 1989.
