Bakchantky a včely
The studies presented in this publication build on the author's earlier reflections on the relationship between philosophy and poetic myth within classical Greek literature. The same theme is now viewed from the perspective of the emerging Christian philosophy. The way in which Clement of Alexandria attempts to use some of the classical figures of Greek myth, such as Prometheus, Hermes, and Dionysos, to illuminate his conception of the biblical history of salvation shows us the extent to which the original scheme of the mythic story may have influenced the formation of the Christian spiritual tradition.
