Always Remember Your Name

On 28 March 1944, Italian sisters Tati and Andra were taken to the infamous Kinder Block in Auschwitz, presided over by Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death. By the time the camp was liberated, 230,000 children has been murdered and the sisters were among only 70 child survivors.

Throughout their ordeal in the camp, their liberation and their long journy to Lingfield House in Britain, the clung on to their promise to their mother to "always remeber your name". It was this connection to their heritage that brought them miraculously bask to their parents, years later. This sisters overcame their trauma to live long lives, bearing witness as survivors of the Holocaust.
