Alois Nebel (komiks)

A new edition of the cartoon novel trilogy ALOIS NEBEL (Bílý Potok, Hlavní nádraží, Zlaté Hory, 2003-2005 - extended with an alternative ending) is published in one volume. In evocative black and white images, the protagonist tells stories that continue to influence forgotten events generations later. He tells the stories of seemingly ordinary people on the margins of society.

The tracks take you everywhere, to Lisbon and Auschwitz, to your own past and the doubts left by your parents, relatives and friends. Stories from a century we think is long gone.

Starring Alois Nebel as the railroad blues. Born under the sign of Libra in 1948 in Frývaldov, formerly Freiwaldau, now Jeseník. All his life at the railroad, just like his relatives. Collects timetables, occasionally goes for a beer, sometimes sees in the fog what others do not see. He last worked as a train dispatcher in Bílé Potok. Then the trains passing through the station across the century clouded his mind.

Based on this comic, its authors wrote the script for a feature film, which director Tomáš Luňák made in an international co-production using rotoscoping technology
